Then God's temple in heaven was opened,

and the ark of his covenant

was seen within his temple;

and there were flashes of lightning,

voices, peals of thunder,

an earthquake, and heavy hail.

PRAYER TO THE HOLY ANGELS TO MAKE REQUESTS

Bless the Lord,

all you His angels.

 

You who are mighty in strength and do His will,

intercede for me at the throne of God.

 

By your unceasing watchfulness,

protect me in every danger of soul and body.

 

 Obtain for me the grace of final perseverance,

so that after this life I may be admnitted

to your glorious company

and with you may sing the praises

of God for all eternity.

PRAYER BY ST. AMBROSE FOR PROTECTION AND HEALTH

Lord Jesus Christ,

I approach your banquet table

in fear and trembling,

for I am a sinner,

and dare not rely on my own worth

but only on your goodness and mercy. 

I am defiled by many sins in body and soul,

and by my unguarded thoughts and words.

 Gracious God of majesty and awe,

I seek your protection,

I look for your healing.

 

Poor troubled sinner that I am,

Saint Michael the Archangel,
 loyal champion of God and His people,
I turn to you with confidence
and seek your powerful intercession.

For the love of God,
Who made you so glorious in grace and power,
and for the love of the Mother of Jesus,
the Queen of the Angels,
be pleased to hear my prayer.

You know the value of my soul
in the eyes of God.
May no stain of evil ever disfigure its beauty.

PRAYER TO THE ANIMA SOLA TO RECOVER WHAT HAS BEEN LOST

Hear ye O Mortals,
the lament of an imprisoned soul,
alone and abandoned in an obscure dwelling.

O Lone Soul, a soul of peace and of war.

Soul of sea and of land.
I desire that all that

 I have lost be returned.

O Souls, you who are alone and abandoned,
I accompany you in your grief.

  Pity upon you.

 I have, for I know of the grief and suffering
you must endure within your harsh
and long imprisonment.
